7/5/2018 Update and things going onwell all the pups have left and we are back to normal. Sort of. When the last litter left I purchased another stud to add to our breeding program. He was born the same day as litter 7. So he came to me right as the pups were leaving. He will be living in a guardian home. I will be health testing him very soon and as long as he clears we plan to use him next year. We are getting everything ready for fall litters. Since we will have 2 litters at the same time I’ve started ordering supplies that I will need duplicates of. Which leads me to why I’m posting. I’ve always promised to be transparent and open and honest. The reason we have added 2 studs in the last year is because stud fees have gone through the roof. The last 2 studs we used costed $3000 each. And our last 2 litters only resulted in 6 pups each. Ouch. My go home bags with supplies now cost $300 for each pup. So to be blunt we have lost a crazy amount of money on the last 2 litters. Unfortunately I can’t continue to be breed and loose money. So I did a small increase on the fall litters. Anyone on the waiting list remains at same price. Any new applications will be charged the new price. I will do another small increase before spring litter. I don’t like raising my price. But to continue to offer you the best possible pet I’ve been forced to do this. I still feel I’m priced well below my competition. In addition I do puppy culture training. I’ve purchased 3 puppies from other breeders in the 2 years. All of them charging more than I do for a pup. By bringing in new lines I keep my inbreeding coefficientcy as low as possible. So I wanted to blog and let you guys know why the price increase. As I said before I’ve promised to be open and honest. And I will continue to breed the healthiest pets possible. If you have any questions please contact me. I will be glad to answer your questions.
