2/7/2018 Lots of updates in one postwe have been very very busy this year. So this will be a long one. In 2017 we added both maggie and Dolly to our breeding program. Dolly will be of age and pass her tests in late 2018. Maggie will be of age in early 2019. So parti litters late 2018 and Merle early 2019. In December another breeder contacted me and had to let go of her dogs due to pregnancy. So willow joined us in January. We have her settled in a guardian home and doing well. She instantly came into heat. So we bred both willow and curly. If curly takes this will be her last litter and she will be spayed this summer. Depending on willows litter we may do a back to back breeding with her. It all depends on her body and litter size. Research has shown that when possible back to back breeding is preferred. So fall litters will possible be willow and Dolly. I would like to keep a pup from some upcoming litters. So I’m always looking for guardian homes close by. Back to breeding, we have spent the last 3 weeks at the vets office every other day testing levels and doing insemination. I didn’t get a chance to post ahead of time but my husband and I did take 3 days and went away last week. The last time we did that our son was 3. He is driving now. Lol. So it’s been busy getting everyone bred and I schedule annual vet visits for February because it’s dental month and they do discounts. So if you contacted me and I didn’t respond please send another message. I’m pretty good at responding but I did have bad reception last week and received a couple calls that went straight to vm. I think I’ve called everyone back that left a number. And it never fails I get people with same name. Last litter everyone was a k. Your not pestering me, just send a message if you didn’t hear from me or if I didn’t answer all your questions. We should have a quiet couple weeks before the litters are born. We are looking forward to getting out and walking to get some weight off Bella. She thinks retired life means eating and sleeping.
